Everyone said the Graces were witches. They moved through the corridors like sleek fish, ripples in their wake. Stares followed their backs and their hair. They had friends, but they were just distractions. They were waiting for someone different. All I had to do was show them that person was me. Like everyone else in her town, River is obsessed with the Graces, attracted by their glamour and apparent ability to weave magic. But are they really what they seem? And are they more dangerous than they let on?
I’ve been a fan of Charmed and the Craft for years. I really wanted to read ‘The Graces’, especially after I’d heard soo much about this book written by Laure Eve. And boy oh boy did I love it. I just couldn’t put it down and really wanted to know what was going on with the Graces. And let me tell you, it totally wasn’t what I’d expected!
Laure Eve has such a cool writing style which I became an immediate fan of. The story of ‘The Graces’ isn’t only fast paces, but you almost feel as if you’re River and you get more and more curious about the Graces. By the way, whilst I was reading this book, I kinda fell in love with Fenrin (whom I kept naming Fenrir – after Fenrir Greyback from Harry Potter).
Seriously, if you haven’t read ‘The Graces’ by Laure Eve, go and buy it now, because it totally deserves all the attention it currently gets. Laure Eve has written a truly amazing first book in a series and I cannot wait to read the next book.
