Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court – but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people. Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms – and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future – and the future of a world cleaved in two.
I finished ‘A court of thorns and roses’ in a couple of days and was very glad I bought ‘A court of mist and fury’. I managed to read some books in between the two, but I really wanted to read on in this series.
What I found different in this book than the previous one is that it’s not really too gripping, although there are moments you want to keep on reading. But despite it not being very gripping, there is something in the story that just kept my attention. You get to know the whole world Sarah J. Maas made up and that’s so amazing. She’s created such an amazing world and that overwhelmed me but also made me curious to read on.
Next to that, there are a whole lot of sexy parts in the book, which made me blush quite often. Just as the previous book I don’t think it fits the genre Young Adult, but since I’m not YA, I don’t mind, it even makes the book saucier.
The only down part of this book is that there’s no third book. I just read on Sarah J. Maas’ twitter account that she’s just finished the first draft, but I cannot wait until the third book comes out! Maybe I have to start in her other series… or not?
I thorougly enjoyed ‘A court of mist and fury’. Sarah J. Maas expands her world even more ánd this book is filled with scenes that will definitely make you blush. I love it!
