Feyre’s survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price …Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre’s presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.
I’d heard so much about ‘A court of thorns and roses’, but there were so many other books on my pile that I kinda forgot about this one. That was until I got a voucher and bought this book. I quickly started it and didn’t really want to do anything else but to keep on reading.
Other than that ‘A cour of thorns and roses’ is very gripping, there’s also a whole lotta romance in the book. What kind of suprised me were the, sometimes really detailed, sex scenes. I found it surprising this book is labelled young adult, as the sex scenes were more new adult. But that’s really a small part of the book. Sarah J. Maas has created a whole new world and she’s done really well. You can totally picture everything in Prythian and when you look up after reading this book, you’re expecting to be there and see magical creatures and amazing gardens. Sarah J. Maas has very detailled described the whole world but not in any way is it boring.
And boy oh boy, I loved this book so much. Luckily I had the second part in this series ready for me because believe me, when you finish this, you really want to continue reading.
I love ‘A court of thorns and roses’. I love the whole world Sarah J. Maas has created, I love the characters, I love the romance. Yup, this is my new obsession. Oh and Sarah J. Maas, I love you too.
