‘Disclaimer’ by Renee Knight was high on my wishlist because I read the summary and thought it was really intruiging. When I was in Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago, I bought the book at Waterstone’s with a 2 for 1 deal.
It’s unimaginable that you’ll find a book that’s about you, that was the whole reason I wanted to read this. From the beginning you’ll find out that Catherine’s gone through something twenty years ago that was so big, she couldn’t tell anyone. Slowly, throughtout the book you’ll find out what it is, which keeps you curious the whole time. Even when you think you know what’s happened, you’ll be surprised to find out that it’s totally different.
I really enjoyed reading ‘Disclaimer’, just because it’s such a bizar story, you cannot imagine going through something like this. Other than that, the story was well put together and I really enjoyed the book from start to finish, although there was a moment in the book that the suspense was really not there, but I really didn’t mind at all.
The story may not be gripping all the time and at some point it was even a little bit slow, but really ‘Disclaimer’ is an easy read and it stays intruiging until the end.
‘Disclaimer’ by Renee Knight as a great thriller with a bizar story, which stays gripping and surprising until the end. Because you want to know how it ends, you’ll keep on reading. A great book if you want to read something different.
