The definitive, richly illustrated, full-color guide to all the districts of Panem, all the participants in The Hunger Games, and the life and home of Katniss Everdeen.
Welcome to Panem, the world of The Hunger Games. This is the definitive, richly illustrated, full-color guide to all the districts of Panem, all the participants in The Hunger Games, and the life and home of Katniss Everdeen. A must-have for fans of both the Hunger Games novels and the new Hunger Games film.
I bought this book last week because it was only €2.50 at the Boekenfestijn and I love the Hunger Games. If you are a real fangirl (or boy), than this is a book you should add to your collection. It shares the world behind the Hunger Games, the way of life in the districts, at home with Katniss Everdeen, the people of the Capitol and loads more.
The book itself is hardcover and has gorgeous photographs to illustrate the stories. But that’s it. If you’ve read the book, you’ll know 99% of what’s in this book. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ve seen 99% of the photos that are in this book. And that’s a shame, because I really expected more of this book. It could’ve been more of a fanguide, behind the scenes of the Hunger Games, I don’t know. But this was a bit dissappointing.
‘The world of the Hunger Games’ is a lovely addition to your Hunger Games collection if you’re a fan and want to have every book there is about the Hunger Games. If not, you can easily skip it.
