I saw this book at a lot of blogs the past months and that made me curious. I really wanted a miracle morning and starting the day off with a great feeling sounds fabulous. So I started by reading this book!
It really is a typical American book, it’s hysterical and at some point a bit of the top. But that doesn’t mean you can’t learn from it. It’s basically about getting up early and using that time to create a better version of yourself. You read a motivational book, you do some exercising and meditation and than go about starting your day. How fabulous is it to have done all these things before breakfast?
I have to say, when you don’t have a (regular) job like me, there’s really no reason to get up early in the morning. I do try it, because it’s also good to have a rhythm. So I get up between 7 and 8 am and have my own routine. I’ve tried to have a miracle morning for a few weeks, but because I go to the gym twice a week (once in the evening and once in the morning), I skipped the exercising part. So I read a bit and meditated. But, I read a lot during the day and meditation isn’t always what I need.
I do get the whole philosophy behind ‘The miracle morning’, especially if you want to achieve your goals, because you have to make time to achieve them. If you already have a fulltime job, that can be hard and this can certainly help to achieve your goals. For me, right now, it’s not really helpful. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t learned anything from it.
‘The miracle morning’ by Hal Elrod is a book that gives you really good and helpful tips to use to adjust your morning routine or give you one. There are a lot of things in the book that you can learn from.
